SHORE UP is a rallying cry, like Man Up, or Buck Up.
It means, "Get over whatever's stopping you and get on with the business at hand."
SHORE UP also means get things braced for the worst.
Shore up the harbors.
Shore up the estuaries.
Shore up the coastal cities.
Turn the entire planet into The Netherlands.
I'm betting that's not gonna happen.
The question is, what is gonna happen, and what are we gonna to do about it?
